Terms of Service

Snagger is operated by DVF Labs trading as Snagger ("we", "us", "our"), an Australian company.

Snagger is an AI-powered software service that helps Australian property buyers understand the contents of building and pest inspection reports prepared by licensed building inspectors under Australian Standard AS4349. We translate complex inspection terminology into plain English.

By creating an account or using Snagger, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use Snagger.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and DVF Labs under the laws of Australia.

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use Snagger.
• You must be an Australian resident or be uploading an Australian property inspection report.
• You must provide accurate registration information including a valid email address.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must not share your account or allow others to access Snagger using your credentials.
• One account per person. We may terminate duplicate or fraudulent accounts.

Snagger provides two service tiers:

Free Snapshot

Upon uploading a supported PDF inspection report, you will receive at no charge:

• Total issue count by severity category (Critical, Moderate, Minor, Investigate)
• An overall condition summary sentence
• Up to five questions to ask your building inspector based on your specific report

Full Analysis (paid)

Upon payment, you will receive a complete AI-generated analysis of your report including:

• Every defect identified in the report, explained in plain English
• Severity rating for each finding
• The trade specialist recommended for each issue
• A three-step action plan per finding
• Specific questions to ask your inspector per finding
• Links to trade quote services (hipages and ServiceSeeking)
• A downloadable PDF summary

One payment covers one property. It includes analysis of up to two PDF files relating to the same property (for example, a separate building report and pest report). A second property requires a new payment.

Supported Report Types

Snagger currently supports Australian Standard AS4349 building inspection reports, pest inspection reports, and combined building and pest inspection reports. Strata reports and other document types are not currently supported. If you upload an unsupported document, no payment will be requested and your file will be deleted.

AI-Powered Analysis

Snagger's analysis is generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude model). AI analysis is based solely on the text content of your uploaded report. It may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. You acknowledge that AI-generated content is not infallible and should be verified with a qualified professional.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe Inc., a third-party payment processor. DVF Labs does not store or have access to your credit card or bank account details. By making a payment you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

• All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
• We may change our prices at any time. The price that applies to your purchase is the price displayed at the time you confirm payment. Price changes do not affect payments already made.
• The fee for full analysis is the price displayed at checkout, per property.
• Payment is charged at the time you click "Unlock full analysis".
• Your payment confirmation and receipt will be emailed to you by Stripe.
• The descriptor on your bank statement will read "Snagger" or "DVF Labs".

Delivery

Your full analysis is a digital service delivered immediately upon payment confirmation. It is typically available in your account within 60 seconds of payment. In rare cases of technical processing delays, delivery may take up to 15 minutes. If your analysis has not appeared within 15 minutes, contact us via the contact page and we will investigate promptly. No physical goods are supplied.

Snagger provides a digital service. Once your full analysis has been successfully generated and delivered to your account, the fee is non-refundable. By completing payment you acknowledge that you are purchasing a digital service that is provided immediately upon payment and consent to the immediate supply of that service.

Nothing in this policy excludes any consumer guarantee rights you hold under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The only circumstance in which a refund is available

A refund will be issued only if our system fails to generate and deliver your analysis AND our automatic retry process is also unable to resolve the failure within 5 business days of your payment. In that event, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method.

If you were charged but a system error prevented your analysis from being triggered at all, you will receive a full refund.

Refunds are not available for

• Change of mind or decision not to proceed with a property purchase
• Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content, including disagreement with findings, severity ratings, or recommendations — the nature and limitations of AI analysis are disclosed in section 7
• The inspection report containing fewer defects than expected
• Uploading an incorrect or unsupported document — no payment is taken unless your document is successfully classified as a supported report type
• Any reason other than a verified failure to deliver the analysis as described above

To report a delivery failure, contact us via the contact page with your account email and payment date. We will respond within 2 business days.

Snagger is not a licensed building inspector, structural engineer, pest controller, conveyancer, solicitor, or financial adviser.

The analysis provided by Snagger:

• Is based solely on the text content extracted from your uploaded PDF report
• Is generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors or omissions
• Does not constitute professional building, legal, financial, or investment advice
• Should not be the sole basis for any property purchasing decision
• Does not replace or supersede the report prepared by your licensed inspector
• Cannot identify defects not described or mentioned in your inspection report
• Cannot assess the physical condition of a property

You must consult a licensed building inspector, conveyancer, solicitor, or other qualified professional before making any property purchasing decision.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, DVF Labs's total liability to you for any loss or damage arising from your use of Snagger is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service.

We exclude all liability for indirect, consequential, or special loss including loss of profits, loss on a property transaction, or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated analysis. This exclusion does not apply to the extent prohibited by the Australian Consumer Law.

All software, design, code, branding, and content on Snagger is owned by DVF Labs and is protected by Australian intellectual property law.

Your inspection report remains your property. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your report solely for the purpose of generating your analysis. This licence terminates when your PDF is deleted from our servers (immediately after analysis completes).

The AI-generated analysis delivered to you is licensed to you for personal use in connection with your property purchase. You may not resell, reproduce, or distribute analysis results commercially.

You agree not to:

• Upload documents that are not building or pest inspection reports
• Upload reports relating to properties you do not have a legitimate interest in
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy Snagger's software or analysis outputs at scale
• Use Snagger for any unlawful purpose
• Upload reports on behalf of others without their knowledge or consent
• Attempt to circumvent payment obligations
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise our infrastructure

Snagger's full analysis includes links to trade quote services operated by hipages Group Pty Ltd (hipages.com.au) and ServiceSeeking Pty Ltd (serviceseeking.com.au).

DVF Labs may earn a referral fee when you request trade quotes through these links. This referral relationship does not affect:

• Which trade types we recommend - recommendations are based solely on your inspection report findings
• The cost of quotes you receive from tradespeople
• The independence or accuracy of our analysis

This disclosure is made in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and the ACCC's guidelines on testimonials, endorsements, and native advertising.

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy sets out in full how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information.

Key points:

• Your PDF report is permanently deleted from our servers immediately after your analysis completes.
• Your analysis results and account data are retained until you delete your account.
• Your payment details are never stored by us - they are handled entirely by Stripe.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account Settings.

You may close your account at any time from your Settings page. Closing your account permanently deletes all your reports and personal data.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the service. In the event of termination for our breach, we will refund any prepaid fees for services not yet delivered.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Snagger after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You and DVF Labs submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, which applies regardless of any choice of law clause.
